[Digital Art] Class Blog Logo

Information

Each year students are given the opportunity to design the logo for the class blog. There are simple requirements for the logo posted below. All students that make an honest attempt creating a high quality logo receive extra credit. Students that have their logo selected for the blog will receive additional points.

Blog logo images will rotate at progress reports and report cards.

The logo requirements are as follows:

  1. Image must be 950 pixels wide by 375 pixels high. Students can download a template for Paint.net or Krita.
  2. Logo should incorporate technology, information, education, and / or gaming.
  3. Logo should include the text: "Mr. Kelley's Advanced IT Class" using a legible font.
  4. Logo should include student's FIRST NAME and LAST INITIAL only in the bottom right corner of the image.

Students that submit an honest attempt at the blog logo will receive extra credit. The logos that are chosen will receive an additional reward.

Please upload your finished logo to the drop box on Focus.

    • Game Developer: Writes the actual code to make the game work.
    • Game Designer: Comes up with the ideas, game mechanics, and appearance of the game.
    • Artist / Animator: Creates the visual assets including graphics, models, backgrounds, logos, menus, etc.
    • Sound: Creates the music and sound effects for the game.

After completing the Magna Carta, each student will need to do the following on their individual page within the group OneNote:

  1. Research a person that has worked in the role that you have chosen. For example, if you are the game developer you would want to research someone that has worked in that role before.
  2. Write at least one paragraph [4-7 sentences] describing the work they did in the job you have chosen. For example, you may write information about the games that person created, or an innovative animation technique, or an award winning soundtrack for the game.
